The People Behind the Project

Colin Garrett

Founder linkedin logo

Spending time in the Racing For Heroes shop with veterans, professional race car driver Colin Garrett realized they deserve more than just a thank you on Veterans Day. This spurred him to race for a cause: Colin started 11/11 Veteran Project to connect those who have served our country with available resources, and amplify existing resources so they can better serve America.

His brothers are Army officers, and every generation of his family has served in the US military since the American Revolutionary War. Off the track, Colin teaches tactical mobility driving to military special forces units, executive protection teams, and missionaries, and spends time in the Racing for Heroes garage helping veterans overcome the challenges and effects of war by getting on track behind the wheel at 150MPH.

When he’s not doing that, he’s racing mountain bikes or hanging with his dog, Hamilton.
